Tantalite is the most widespread tantalum mineral and makes for an important ore of the industrially useful metal. Tantalum is used in alloys for strength and higher melting points, in glass to increase the index of refraction, and in surgical steel, as it is non-reactive and non-irritating to body tissues.
In 2015, the Federal Government identified the solid mineral sector as one of the key sectors to drive the desired diversification of the Nigerian economy. Many states with high solid mineral potentials are yet to fully harness opportunities for Internally Generated Revenues (IGR) from gold mining yet we thrive to make the best from this opportunity.
Lithium is a versatile metal essential in many industries. It is a key component in rechargeable batteries, powering electronics like smartphones and electric vehicles. Lithium's unique properties make it crucial for energy storage, aerospace applications, and medical treatments. Its use in glass and ceramics enhances durability and thermal resistance.
